This was made from the international student's perspective, but I'm sure everyone can relate to it.

1. Your grades during the spring semester are complete crap. Damn multicultural weeks.

2. You’ve gotten good at guessing where people come from just by looking at them. Or at least you think so.

3. You have 10 million group pages on Facebook that you’ll never visit again.

4. You know how to swear in at least 3 other languages.

5. You run into people you know EVERYWHERE, whether you like it or not.

6. You use the words “otsukare”, “ganbatte”, “baito”, “gomen”, “mendokusai”, “daijoubu”, and add “ne” at the end of your English sentences without even thinking about it.

7. Misspellings and grammar mess-ups are so common, you’ve stopped double checking your essays.

8. You cry at the thought of having to buy a new bus pass every year.

9. You’ve found every possible way to get your attendance checked. You will have those points, one way or another…

10. This is your idea of a college lecture hall.

11. You’ve been asked the question “Where are you from?” at least 1091823765875032091239867417213 times.

12. You know the rule: “You must put one umbrella into the cycle BEFORE you can steal another one on a rainy day.”

13. You’ve almost completely forgotten that PANGAEA is actually pronounced [pan-jee-uh], not [pan-geh-ah] (in English)

14. If you were on a game show and the final task was to sing the “H-I-Hirose song”, you'd win a million dollars in an instant.

15. You have a stereotypical (and most likely politically insensitive, but hilariously funny) joke about each one of your friends' countries.
Well, sometimes they think it's funny too.

16. You go to war twice a year… Course Registration War, that is.

17. Everyone has been screwed over by the Academic Office and/or Student Office at least once.

18. Gossip spreads unbelievably fast.

19. AP House is a brothel. Don’t lie. You were thinking it.

20. Most people here just think too highly of themselves.

21. You’ve been here for God-Knows-How-Long, yet you still don’t know which one is A building and which one is B building.

22. Every time you meet someone who’s visited Beppu, you ask them “ W H Y ????? “

23. On your flight back to Beppu, at least half of your suitcase is filled with food.

24. You fell in love with this chocolate bar:

25. You’re so tired of the clubs here.

26. HORIZONTAL Rain???

27. Although you’re stuck in a town with nothing more than fried chicken, natural hot springs, and old people, you’ve made some of the best friends you could ever imagine, and somehow find ways to enjoy this place.

  1. But I so much loved this place and want to visit there as soon as possible.
    But you know what???
Every year, I have a good plan to go there but I always miss the chance.
I don't really know why but this is what actually happens all the time.
Before too late, I will be there this year, my second hometown.
